The in-group bias

This is the tendency to favor or value the members of our own group or social category over the members of other groups or categories. For example, if we belong to a certain professional association or network, we may be more likely to favor or prioritize candidates who are also members of that association or network, and to overlook or dismiss candidates who are not. The in-group bias can cause us to make biased or exclusionary hiring decisions, and it can lead us to overlook the value of diversity, inclusion, or fairness in the hiring process.
